Philippa Evans

Philippa is a qualified solicitor with extensive knowledge of the children and adults sector, gained in practice as a local authority legal adviser. When in practice, she represented the local authority in childcare cases in the Family Proceedings, County and High Courts.

She has worked as part of Tri-x-Childcare since 2001, primarily as a Lead Author of procedures. With her legal background and her eye for detail, she also has overall responsibility for the quality of the work the company produces and helps to ensure that all our customers' manuals comply with changing legislation and guidance.

In addition, she has undertaken the role of independent author of a number of overview reports as part of Serious Case Reviews for four different Safeguarding Children Boards and has received 'good' ratings on three reports completed since the introduction of evaluations by OFSTED.

Nick Lister

Nick has extensive experience in social care, working in local authorities, the independent sector and as a freelance consultant.

Since 2004, he has been working with Tri.x as a 'Lead Author' - during that time, he has developed a great working relationship with many of customers in Children's Services, Safeguarding, Children's Homes and Fostering Agencies.

Nick has fulfilled a variety of roles in serious case reviews including independent chair, overview report author and he has prepared individual management reviews. He has recently been involved in piloting case reviews using the systems based approach which is being promoted by the Social Care Institute for Excellence.

As a freelance/consultant, he established an Advocacy Service for young people and has chaired and provided reports in Serious Case Reviews.

Before becoming a freelance consultant, he was the Registered Manager for an Independent Fostering Agency. Prior to this, he fulfilled a variety of roles in the Public Sector e.g. as Manager of a Children's Disability Service and Youth Offending/Courts Services Manager.

Birgitta Lundberg

Since 2005 Birgitta has worked with Tri.x as a Lead Author, developing Safeguarding and wider Children's Trust procedures. Her portfolio of customers includes a number of independent agencies e.g. SSAFA Forces Help, and many LSCBs.

In a freelance capacity, Birgitta also undertakes the role of Independent Overview Author in Serious Case Reviews.

Birgitta has 30 years experience in social care, primarily in the public sector, where she worked in a range of service settings e.g. residential work with older people and with children with disabilities; multi agency daycentres with adults with mental health difficulties and children and families work; operational fieldwork services with all age ranges including Approved Social Work duties.

More senior or strategic posts have included being a Safeguarding Manager.

Paul Tudor

Paul is the co-author of our on-line training programme ('Serious Case Reviews: Outcomes and Key Messages').

Paul has specialised in child protection and safeguarding children for more than 30 years. As an independent consultant, he has been involved in 40 Part 8/Serious Case Reviews, including many high profile cases.

He has chaired and/or been the author of the overview report for a significant number of these cases.

Paul has analysed 20 of these cases in a thematic way, some of the results of this analysis are included in this programme.
